FERMA is an international fair for cattle, pigs and poultry producers & breeders. It is no. 1 in Poland – a country which is one of the EU top producers of poultry and milk, with around 25 000 milk cattle farms.

The show is specialized and became a nationwide platform for exchange of knowledge and experiences between farmers, organizations and scientists. The exceptional programme includes around 50 lectures, forums and discussions on current topics. Exhibitors present everything from genetics, feed systems, to pharmaceuticals and machinery used in farms with animal husbandry.

DLG-Feldtage (DLG Field Days) is a unique outdoor exhibition which has been held at different locations in Germany since 1988. It takes place in June every two years and provides a meeting point for crop production experts from around the world. The event attracts over 350 exhibitors from diverse fields ranging from crop production, crop breeding and crop protection to fertiliser production and farm equipment, organic farming and robotic, as well as consultancy and further services. Visitors will find a wide range of products, displays and machine demonstrations in the exhibition area, trial fields, outdoor showground and marquee. A 45-hectare outdoor area is reserved for live, hands-on demonstrations of the latest innovations. The unifying theme of all DLG-Feldtage is to give the audience a practical experience of cropping; an offer that is readily accepted by more than 23,000 trade visitors at each event, most of them farmers, contractors, traders and students. The farmers attracted to these events are major players and leading decision-makers in their industry. About 10% of the visitors are international, coming from some 30 different countries.

Geared to large-scale arable farming, DLG-Feldtage tend to attract industry professionals who farm more than 600 hectares on average, depending on the venue (such as when the exhibition was held in Bernburg in 2014)

PotatoEurope is an European Trade Fair dedicated to the whole potato chain is taking place on an annual rotating basis in Belgium, France, Netherlands and Germany.

The theme of this year’s edition – ‘Potatoes feed & meet the world’ – is linked to the potato’s huge potential to feed the world’s growing population. In addition, PotatoEurope in 2022 is the leading platform for the exchange of information related to precision farming for potatoes. This year, PotatoEurope is highlighting the opportunities and practical applications of precision farming for potato growers with a large-scale practical demonstration. This is aimed at showing chain professionals how they can benefit from the use of drones and digital information. An entire crop season will be examined in conjunction with the main sponsor, Case IH. To safeguard the objectivity, students from CAH Vilentum University of Applied Sciences in Dronten will translate the information into practical recommendations. For the first time ever, this unique collaboration will bridge the knowledge gap between theory and practice in the area of precision farming in the potato sector.

Visitors can ‘feed’ their knowledge even more by attending high-quality seminars that will be held during the show. Current and future potato professionals alike are assured of interesting and informative sessions in which chain partners themselves can become involved in the discussions. Some of these sessions are designed for all visitors, while others are aimed at specific target groups within the potato chain such as students.
